Sad Day for GTYC |

On Wednesday 4/16/08 the Traverse City Fire chief was driving home from another fire and he saw the flames coming out of the roof at 11:30pm. We aren't sure yet what this will mean for the sailing season in Traverse City, but we will keep you posted. The board is meeting tonight to start figuring out what to do.

see WHAT boats are racing each event.
We need you to login
and update your teams data for this to be useful. Just click on "My
Team" after loging in. Check the regattas/events you plan on racing and
click update. This way everyone will know who plans on going where.

2008 BYC Women's Invitational Regatta - Melges Class |

August 1st-3rd is the 5th running of the BYC Women's Invitational Regatta. Calling all Melges 24 Ladies! We are hoping for our biggest Melges class yet! We have 2-3 tentative boats right now and we need more. We have very capable skippers looking for Melges to drive. Gateway Spring Melges 24 Regatta - CANCELLED! Join us in 2009! |

It is with great regret that we announce that the Gateway Spring Melges 24 Regatta will be cancelled this year due to flooding on Carlyle Lake.
The lake is five feet over the seawall as of April 7, and there is no way the Corps of Engineers can get rid of that much water before the regatta.
Our apologies to those teams that were planning to come - we had a great event planned. The 2009 regatta is scheduled for May 2-3, 2009. So make your plans early for 2009!

Inaugural Gateway Melges 24 Spring Regatta |

24 MARCH 2008 • The inaugural Gateway Melges 24 Spring Regatta will be held May 3-4, 2008. Carlyle Sailing Association (CSA) is the host club, and sailing will be on the beautiful waters of Carlyle Lake in central Illinois. We are within easy reach of many boats so please consider us in your 2008 travel plans. This event will include close racing on the water, and good fun off the water. CSA is a welcoming and low-key club and our members will show you Gateway style hospitality!
